#VCP The virtual hardware version is usually first determined when the VM is deployed/created. Generally VMware recommends to only update the vHW version if any of the features in the newer versions are needed. Due to spectre/meltdown it is highly recommended to have vHW v9 to mitigate the vulnerabilty and at least version 11 to have the performance mitigations for these security vulnerabilites. ## Update Can be done in Lifecycle manager tab at Cluster level.
