#VCP Software Defined Data Center(SDDC) defines a datacenter which is completely abstracted from the underlying physical infrastructure. It allows any application to run on the SDDC across different environments. VMware has the following offerings for the part of an SDDC: - Resource abstraction - VMware vSphere - Network abstraction - NSX - Storage abstraction - vSAN - vVols - Automation - vRealize/Aria Operations/Automations In an SDDC all operations are mostly automated to prevent configuration errors. ## Consolidated SDDC A consolidated SDDC is generally describing the concept of an architecture which is made out of a single Management domain with an SDDC manager.
