#NSX #Concept Is defined as a System or host that is part of the Data plane of NSX and "transports" NSX traffic through a TEP. There are different types of Systems which can be prepared as a Transport Node: - ESXi Host - Is prepared for NSX by installing the NSX vibs - KVM Host - A linux KVM host which is prepped by the solution installation - Bare Metal - Can be either linux or Windows based bare metal host which has the NSX Agent installed. - NSX Edge ([[NSX - Edge Node.md]]) - NSX's own virtual appliance - Cloud based Transport nodes (AWS EC2, Azure etc.) - is installed directly inside a specific cloud environment through their different services like Amazons EC2 ## Components ### NSX-Proxy runs on a transport node, receives information and configuration from the [[NSX - Manager.md]]
